CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Knights will take the field at BB&T Ballpark for the first time in 2017 as they host the Charlotte 49ers in a special scrimmage game on Monday, April 3rd. The game, which will start with a 3:05 p.m. first pitch, will be closed to the general public -- however one young local boy and his family will have V.I.P. treatment throughout the day.
Just days before the Knights open the season on April 6th, the team has invited Jack Smith, his family, and members of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) as special guests to the private scrimmage game.
