CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte 49ers men's tennis player freshman Luca Keist was named Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
Last Saturday, he played a major role in helping the 49ers record a doubleheader sweep with wins over UNC Asheville and South Carolina State. Keist, who has won five straight singles matches, defeated UNC Asheville's 43rd-ranked Henry Patten handing Patten his first regular-season loss since March of 2016. He also tallied a win at number one singles against South Carolina State. Keist teamed with Constandinos Christoforou to post a win at number one doubles in the South Carolina State match.
