CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball delivered a dramatic first victory for Head Coach Robert Woodard as Carson Johnson's two-run single in the bottom of the 11th propelled Charlotte past VCU 5-4 on Saturday afternoon.
"What a great college baseball game that was," began Woodard. "I thought that was as complete of a team win as we could have. It took every single member of our team to pull off that win. I thought Chance {Ryan Chanstkowski} getting us to the fifth inning was big and then passing the ball off to Christian {Lothes} who just competed his tail off for almost three innings was really big.
