Charlotte, N.C. -- Charlotte 49ers freshman guard Jahmir Young was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week after his season-opening performance at James Madison last week.
Young had a solid all-around game in his collegiate debut with a team game-high 16 points on 50 percent shooting. He also grabbed six rebounds, dished out three assists to go along with two steals in the game.
Young and the rest of the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team faces cross-county rival Davidson in their home opener, tomorrow, Tuesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. in Halton Arena.
