IRVING, Texas – Charlotte women’s basketball guard Grace Hunter earned her school-record fifth Conference USA Freshman of the Week accolade, as announced by the league office Monday. The All-Conference USA Freshman Team selection collected each of her five awards during the league campaign, more than any player or freshman of the week recipient this season.
Hunter, a Raleigh, North Carolina, native continued to score in double figures as she reached the mark in both Charlotte victories this past week to raise her season total to 16.
She nearly posted her seventh double-double, finishing just a rebound shy, as part of her 11-point, nine-board showing against Rice Thursday.
