IRVING, Texas – Charlotte sophomore guard Grace Hunter has been named the Dec. 12 Conference USA Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. It is the first player of the week honor for the Raleigh, North Carolina, product in her career and the second by a 49ers player this season.
Hunter, a five-time C-USA Freshman of the Week recipient last year, helped lead the Niners to two victories this past week to extend the current win streak to four and improve the overall record to 7-3.
She turned in a near double-double average of 12.
