With that, Mike Hill introduced himself as the seventh director of athletics in Charlotte 49ers' history.
Hill was announced as Director of Athletics, Feb. 28. Tuesday's press conference was his official introduction to Niner Nation. He will assume duties on March 15.
Hill succeeds Judy Rose, who has served as Director of Athletics since 1991. Rose announced her retirement after 28 years as AD in January, effective June 30, 2018. She has been named Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics.
