CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Junior pitcher Lindsey Walljasper did not allow a hit through five innings and Cori Henderson recorded a season-high three RBIs as the Charlotte 49ers (30-17, 14-6 C-USA) defeated the Marshall Thundering Herd (19-12, 8-8 C-USA) in the series finale, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.
Henderson also had a single-game, career-high in doubles as she connected with two in the matchup, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and now totaling 12 2Bs on the year. Spenser Gray had a great senior weekend, capping off her last home game with a multi-hit outing as she went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three stolen bases.
