Henderson Almost Hits a Cycle in Run-Rule Over Pitt

Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers (14-13) scored a run in every inning and three Niners tallied three RBIs in the game as they defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers, 11-2, in five innings at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.

Six 49ers recorded a hit in the game and two had three-hit days as both freshmen Madelyn Wright and Cori Henderson led the way at the plate. Wright went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs, while Henderson was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBIs, a double and a home run. Henderson was also a triple away from hitting for the cycle.
