Charlotte 49ers first-year head football coach Will Healy has announced the hiring of Cody Woodiel as the 49ers' tight ends coach to finalize his full-time coaching staff. Woodiel has served as an offensive graduate assistant at Oregon for the past two years and has seven years of coaching experience under his belt.
Prior to his time at Oregon, the Troy alum coached at Itawamba Community College in Mississippi and at his alma mater. Woodiel, who played tackle, guard and tight end in college, has coached with the offensive line at each of his stops.
He spent three years as the offensive line coach at Itawamba before serving a stint as offensive line coach at Murray State from December 2016 to March 2017.
