Charlotte 49ers first-year head football coach Will Healy has announced the hiring of Zachary Alley as the 49ers' nickels coach. Alley, a 2014 Clemson graduate, spent the last four years as a graduate assistant at his alma mater.
A native of Charlotte who attended Charlotte Country Day School, Alley was a defensive graduate assistant for the Tigers for each of the last four playing seasons. Since he joined the Tigers' coaching staff, Clemson won two national championships, four ACC titles, posted a 55-4 record and boasted the No. 1 scoring defense in college football, last season.
