WICHITA, Kansas - Charlotte baseball's Harris Yett was named to the Buster Posey Award (formerly the Johnny Bench Award) watch list for the second-straight. Yett, a semifinalist last year for the same honor, has a .368 average with five homers and 24 RBI on the year in his senior year behind the plate.
The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission announced a new name for the 20th Anniversary of the national collegiate catcher of the year award and released the official watch list today. Previously known as the Johnny Bench Award, the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award will continue to honor the nation's top division one collegiate catcher as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors.
