Harris Yett doesn't know how he started playing baseball. His father was a football player at Wofford, his mother didn't play sports. Despite not having a baseball background, Yett developed into a top catcher and now is a prominent face on the 49ers baseball lineup.
Coming out of South Meck high school, Yett was torn between committing to N.C. State or Charlotte. Wanting to get away from home, he elected to go to Raleigh.
An injury during his first year at State led Yett to decide to take his talents to Walters State Community College.
