Redshirt senior Tyriq Harris (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) has been named to the 2019 Wuerffel Trophy Watch List. The Wuerffel Trophy is presented by the Chick-fil-A Foundation® to the college football player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
In addition, Harris has also been named to the 2019 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® Nominee List, an annual award given to college football players for the impact they make off the field.
Harris, a native of Roanoke, Virginia, graduated cum laude with a degree in biology this spring and enters the 2019 campaign with a team-high 24 consecutive starts at defensive end.
