RUSTON, La. - A perfect day at the plate from sophomore first baseman Meredith Harris helped lead the Charlotte softball team to a bounce back, 4-3, victory over Louisiana Tech at the Lady Techster Softball Complex Saturday afternoon.
After hitting three home runs in her debut season at Charlotte, Harris had not yet hit a long ball in 2017. That all changed with one swing of the bat in the top of the 2nd inning as the Charlotte native launched her first homer of the season to straightaway center field, giving the 49ers (16-10, 1-2 C-USA) an early 1-0 lead.
