Charlotte 49ers redshirt senior defensive end Tyriq Harris has been named to the 11-man Conference USA all-Academic Team for the third time in his career, the league announced today. Harris is the 49ers first three-time all-Academic Team selection.
Harris, a three-time team captain, graduated cum laude with a degree in Biology and a 3.684 GPA. He is pursuing a second undergraduate degree and owns a 3.87 GPA in business. One of 12 finalists for the 2020 William V. Campbell Trophy awarded to college football's top scholar-athlete, Harris was also named to the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class.
