CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Georgia took advantage of Charlotte pitching on Wednesday to take a 6-3 victory on Wednesday afternoon splitting the two-game midweek series with the 49ers. Bulldog starter Kevin Smith would limit the Niners offense on Wednesday going 7.2 innings to pick up his second win of the year.
“We had a lackluster start and Georgia was more aggressive today,” remarked Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “We made a run from the sixth inning on, but we just couldn’t get that big inning like we have in the last few games.
