CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- After each posting sensational seasons in 2016, the accolades continue for Charlotte softball's senior Lexi Betancourt and sophomore Haley Pace, who were each named to the elite 12-member Conference USA All-Academic squad, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. The Niners are one of just two schools to place more than one athlete on the team this season.
Both were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District squad late last week, and now have a chance to become Academic All-Americans later this summer. Both also earned the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal in mid-April.
