Gregory torches the nets as 49ers win fifth straight

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Senior Ciara Gregory tied a single-game Halton Arena record with 35 points, on the strength of a career-high seven 3-pointers, as the Charlotte women's basketball team scored a season best in its 93-79 win over cross-county rival Davidson Wednesday evening.

Gregory, playing in her 100th career game, had the hot-hand all night as the Niners picked up their fifth-straight victory, tying for the longest non-conference stretch in head coach Cara Consuegra's six seasons. It also provided the 49ers with their eighth-consecutive triumph in the cross-county series.

LEADERS
Gregory hit 11-of-15 field goals, including 7-of-10 from 3-point territory, and 6-of-6 at the charity stripe to net her 35 points.
