IRVING, Texas – Charlotte senior guard Ciara Gregory was tabbed the Dec. 23 Conference USA Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Friday. The conference held an abbreviated window of games this week due to the upcoming holidays instead of announcing the accolades on their normal Monday release date.
Gregory's honor, the first of her career, gives the 49ers three this season by three different players. Prior to this year, Charlotte had only accumulated five cumulative C-USA Player of the Week awards in program history, and just one since returning to the league in 2013-14.
