CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Alison Green tied a career-high with six strikeouts and was electric out of the bullpen for Charlotte (5-7), allowing just one run and one hit in the final 3.0 innings of relief in a 12-2 (five inn.) loss to NC State (5-7) on Wednesday at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.
Green was the third pitcher to work in the circle for the 49ers on Wednesday, working 3.0 innings of one-run, one-hit ball out of the bullpen. The Riveside, Calif., native tied a career-high with six strikeouts, which she did last vs. Fairfield (2/25/17).
