ORLANDO, Fla. - The 2017 Citrus Classic came to a close for Charlotte softball after a 4-0 defeat to Notre Dame at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman pitcher Alison Green was a major highlight on the day, tossing 3.1 innings of shutout softball in relief. The Riverside, California native was a long way from home in Florida, but did everything she could to keep the Fighting Irish (10-8) at bay. She held them to a single hit while striking out two to keep the score where it was.
