CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women’s basketball will see its two seniors, Alexis Alexander and Kira Gordon, both receive diplomas from the university this weekend during the annual May commencement ceremonies.
The pair led the 49ers to a 19-11 record this past season, including a coveted top-four double-bye seeding in the Conference USA Championships after posting a 12-6 league mark. Charlotte reached the WNIT, earning the program’s 13th postseason appearance in the last 14 years.
Alexander, who was tabbed the team’s MVP, put together her best season in the Niners uniform on her way to earning All-Conference USA Second Team accolades.
