BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – John Gough highlighted the first round of the Shoal Creek Invitational with a hole-in-one on the par three 16th as Charlotte currently sits in third. The first round was suspended due to darkness with four players still on the course. Wet course conditions led to slow play in a late start to the opening round.
Marc Boucher is currently tied for third after his opening round of 69 (-3). Five birdies on the day, including three on the front, led to his sub-par round.
Gough fired an even par 72 along with Ben Woodruff with his ace leveling him out to even.
