CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a top-10 finish in the Desert Intercollegiate, Charlotte's John Gough has been named Conference USA's Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
"I'm excited for John on yet another wonderful honor being named conference player of the week," began Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "He continues to do really good things."
HOW IT WAS DONE
Gough began his spring season in impressive fashion finishing tied for sixth in the 21-team, 119-player field of the Desert Intercollegiate. Traveling to California for the first time, Gough led the Niners to a second place finish as a team beginning with a three-under 69 on Friday thanks to seven birdies.
