CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With anticipated inclement weather in the forecast Sunday, adjustments were made to the 49er Invite schedule late Friday night and it forced all teams to begin play Saturday and compete essentially from sun up to sun down. Play started at 8 a.m. and concluded after 6 p.m. at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex with all individuals in the round-robin event playing two times in singles and twice in doubles.
EARLY RESULTS STAY STRONG
The host 49ers overcame the earlier-than-anticipated start to claim five singles wins and a doubles triumph in the morning playing against a split lineup featuring players from Princeton and Long Island.
