LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ashley Fowler sits inside the field's top-10 while the 49ers are 11th overall through 36 holes of Louisville's Cardinal Cup completed on Saturday afternoon.
Fowler led the 49ers in round one with a two-over 74, despite starting three-over after her first two holes. From the shaky start starting on #13, Fowler drained her first birdie on the par-five 17th remaining two-over with five to play. After a bogey on the par-four a string of three-straight pars and a birdie four on nine leveled out her round of 74. In round two, Fowler shaved two strokes off with her 72 (E) beginning with a birdie on the opening 13th hole followed by a back-to-back birdie stretch on 16 and 17 that kept her in red figures.
