Browns Summit, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers women's golf team shot four-over 292 in round one led by sophomore Ashley Fowler (-2, 70). She is currently tied for fifth.
Just behind Fowler, who drained three birdies on the day, is fellow sophomore Jillian Farrell who shot a one-under 71 knocking down four birdies including three in a four-hole span. Farrell is tied for seventh after round one. Sophomore Siarra Stout carded a two-over 74 through the first 18 with just bogies on 12 and 16 to go with 16 pars.
