Four first-team selections highlight 49ers’ all-state picks

MT. OLIVE, N.C. – The 2016 Conference USA Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament participant Charlotte women's soccer program placed seven of its players, nearly one-third of the roster, on the postseason All-North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) Teams as announced Tuesday by the organization. The 49ers had four players earn first-team honors, while another three were tabbed to the second team as Charlotte garnered the most total selections of any school in the state.

The four first-team choices included freshman forward Megan Greene, senior midfielder Katie O'Neill, freshman defender Riley Orr and junior midfielder Martha Thomas.
