Four 49ers Wins in Six Matches Cap Fall’s Final Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis closed out its fall tournament campaign in style Sunday morning, claiming four victories among its six matches, including three in five against Penn State, to end competition at the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill.

Highlighting the day was the third-straight overall singles triumph for freshman Tahlia van der Eerden, who topped the Nittany Lions' 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 4 position. She finished her inaugural collegiate fall slate with a 9-3 mark in singles, tying sophomore Rocio Safont for the team lead.
