The Charlotte 49ers football team, who returns 15 starters off last season's team, held their first practice for the 2016 season, Wednesday, August 3.
Charlotte begins the 2016 season on the road at ACC foe Louisville, Thursday, September 1. Charlotte plays Elon in their home opener at Jerry Richardson Stadium, Saturday, September 10. Charlotte plays Elon, Eastern Michigan (September 17), Old Dominion (October 1), FIU (October 15), Rice (November 12) and Middle Tennessee (November 19) at Jerry Richardson Stadium this season.
