Charlotte 49ers rs-senior linebacker Juwan Foggie (High Point N.C./High Point Central) has been named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week in a vote by members of the league's media.
Foggie had two interceptions that translated into touchdowns, a team-high eight tackles, a sack, tackle for loss (TFL) and two QB hurries to lead the 49ers defense to a convincing 40-14 C-USA victory over WKU.
Both interceptions gave Charlotte the ball in WKU territory and led directly to touchdowns.
On WKU's first possession of the game, Foggie picked off a 2nd-and-15 pass and returned it 27 yards to the WKU 35-yard line.
