This season’s Conference USA honors have been awarded and on the lists are Charlotte 49ers Meredith Hamby, Abby Stapleton, Megan Greene, Kelley Suggs, and Martha Thomas.
Meredith Hamby and Abby Stapleton were added to the All-Conference USA Freshman team, marking the second-straight season that two Charlotte players were placed on the freshman team. It is the eighth season in a row that at least a singe player has earned a spot on the team.
Stapleton has been the team’s chief goalkeeper for the large majority of the season, starting in 17 0f 18 matches. In a come-back win over FAU at Transamerica field, she recorded her highest number of saves during a conference match at nine shots.
