MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- After a lightning delay and a few storms, the Conference USA Outdoor Championships finally started at Dean Hayes Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tenn., with the multis competiion beginning with the women's heptathlon, followed by the men's decathlon thirty minutes after.
The freshmen duo of Taylor Parcells and Desirae Rowell started their heptathlons strong, each recording a personal best in the 100m hurdles.
After four events, Rowell currently sits in fifteenth place, with Parcells closely behind in sixteenth.
On the men's side, seniors K'Vonte Scott and Mike Cross began their final meets as 49ers, joined by junior Nathan Jeffers.
