For the second straight year, Charlotte 49ers redshirt senior offensive lineman Jaelin Fisher has been named to the Watch List for the 2020 Rimington Trophy, which is presented annually to the top center in college football.
Now in his third season as the 49ers starting center, Fisher has anchored an offensive line that has produced a 1000-yard rusher in each of the last two seasons. Charlotte led C-USA with a 203.0 rushing average, last year and was fifth in the league in 2018.
Charlotte's offensive line was the only unit from C-USA to earn a spot on the Joe Moore Midseason Honor Roll in 2019 and the 49ers ranked 32nd in the FBS in fewest sacks allowed.
