CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball held its first official practice of the 2019-20 preseason Tuesday, just over a month away from the team's exhibition contest and first regular-season game. It marks the beginning of year nine under head coach Cara Consuegra.
CORE FOUR
Four of the team's five starters from a year ago are all back, including 2018-19 All-Conference USA Freshman Team selection Jazmin Harris. The sophomore center emerged as a solid post option for the Niners, averaging 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Joining her as returning starters are redshirt senior guard Jade Phillips, junior guard Octavia Jett-Wilson and junior guard Mariah Linney.
