CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team hits the road for the final time in 2019 traveling to UAB for a three-game series beginning on Friday afternoon. Due to UAB hosting the C-USA softball tournament and the threat of weather, the first two games of the series will now be played at Mountain Brook High School's all-turf facility.
Charlotte (18-27-1, 9-14-1 C-USA) has won each of the last two series and three of their last four after defeating Middle Tennessee in two-of-three last weekend. Josh Haney's two-run single in the sixth inning of game one led to a 4-2 victory while Carson Pinkney, Joey Cooner and Colby Bruce combined on the Sunday shutout in a 5-0 win.
