This summer, senior Laia Raventós received an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take her team back to her country, Spain, and play in front of her family and friends.
Though the trip happened in August, the idea of taking the team on an international trip had long been in the works. Almost as soon as Raventós arrived in Charlotte, head coach Cara Consuegra began thinking of a way to play over in Spain.
"One of the things that's important to me in running this program is to give players an opportunity to play in their hometown when we can do it," Consuegra said.
