Conference USA has announced that the Charlotte 49ers home opener vs. Georgia State, Sept. 26, has been picked up by ESPNU. The game time for the contest has been moved to 12 noon to accommodate the nationally-televised broadcast.
"This is another tremendous national television opportunity for our football program and we look forward to what should be a great game versus Georgia State," said 49ers Director of Athletics Mike Hill.
This will be the 49ers' second game in the early season to be broadcast nationally. Charlotte's season-opener at Appalachian State was on ESPN2. The 49ers upcoming game at North Carolina is an ACC Network Regional Sports production.
