MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- No. 11 seed Charlotte gained a 2-0 start but was unable to withstand a comeback in singles by No. 6 seed Louisiana Tech, falling 4-2 Thursday. The first match between the two programs came during the Conference USA Championships First Round at the Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The 49ers earned the first point by claiming two of the three doubles contests, giving them a 1-0 lead.
