Dozier to Participate in Steelers Rookie Minicamp

Charlotte 49ers safety Branden Dozier has been invited to participate in the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie minicamp, which runs May 6-9.

Dozier, who finished his two-year career with 49ers' single-season school records of 86 tackles, 52 solo tackles and 11 pass breakups in 2014, becomes the third 49ers invited to an NFL minicamp. Last year, OL Daniel Blitch (Carolina Panthers) and S Desmond Cooper (Jacksonville Jaguars) were both invited to NFL minicamps. Cooper became the first 49er to sign an NFL contract when he was inked by the Jaguars following the camp. He remained with the club through the bulk of the 2015 preseason.
