FRISCO, Texas – Charlotte women's basketball's stay at the Air Force Reserve Conference USA Championships presented by Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center Frisco ended Thursday afternoon in heartbreaking fashion, as the 49ers dropped a 90-89 double-overtime decision to Old Dominion in the quarterfinal round.

The Niners and Monarchs squared off for the third time this season Thursday and each meeting needed extra time to decide the victor. Charlotte won each of the first-two, regular-season matchups, but used double overtime and a single extra frame to earn those two wins.
