CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team will look to pick up their second-straight league series win on the road when they travel to WKU this weekend. Due to weather forecasts, the two teams will now play a doubleheader to open the series on Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. eastern, take a day off Saturday and engage in the series-finale Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Charlotte (11-13, 3-3 C-USA) comes off an 8-5 loss to #15 Clemson on Tuesday night at BB&T Ballpark despite erasing a 4-0 lead. Harris Yett belted a two-run homer in the third to cut the deficit in half before a passed ball and sacrifice fly by Tommy Bullock in the sixth tied the game up at four.
