CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team will embark on a four-game road trip beginning at Winthrop on Tuesday night to wrap up the 2017 regular season over the next five days. The C-USA series finale will be at Marshall beginning Thursday night.
Charlotte (28-22) may look forward to playing on the road as the recent homestand ended at 1-5, which includes a series-loss to UTSA on Sunday. After suffering a two-hit, 5-0 loss Friday, the 49ers bounced back for an 8-3 win Saturday powered by Zach Jarrett's three-run homer and four RBI day.
