Defense shuts down Lancers as 49ers pick up fourth-in-a-row

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball turned to its defense Sunday afternoon, forcing an opponent season-high 28 turnovers and not allowing more than 12 points in a quarter on its way to a 66-41 triumph over Longwood inside Halton Arena. The victory marked the fourth straight for the 49ers who have one game left to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule.

Five Niners, including four starters, netted double-figure points as eight total Charlotte (7-3) players scored led by a career-high 13 from redshirt junior Nyilah Jamison-Myers on 6-of-9 field goals.
