Charlotte, N.C. -- Charlotte 49ers head men’s basketball coach Ron Sanchez announced that 6-foot-5 guard Jhery Matos (Jerry MAH-tos) has transferred from the University of Dayton to Charlotte. Matos played for the Dominican Republic’s U17-19 National Teams and was a 2018 NJCAA All-American.
We are thrilled to welcome Jhery to our program as a graduate transfer. He comes from an excellent program and his veteran leadership will make an immediate impact on our team and culture. He embodies our pillars both on and off the court and we look forward to having him on campus.
