CHARLOTTE, N.C. – First-year head coach Anthony Davison earned his first victory while in charge of Charlotte, as the 49ers women's tennis team defeated the Wofford Terriers, 6-1, Saturday afternoon. The Niners, who did not drop a doubles match all afternoon, picked up their first victory of the season and halted the Terriers three game-winning streak.
"Very happy with the way we looked this afternoon," Davison said. "We won all the doubles matches, which was key. Several players played great and had solid matches."
Charlotte (1-2) went perfect through doubles, recording three-straight victories and headed into singles with the 1-0 advantage over the Terriers.
