Baltimore, Md. – The Charlotte (6-5) had three players in double-figures led by ' 28 points in his return to his hometown but the 49ers who led for the majority of the first half lost to Maryland (12-1), 88-72.
"Obviously we're disappointed in the loss," Charlotte coach said. "We felt good going in to halftime but give Maryland credit. They played a terrific second half and shot the ball from three well. They're a very good basketball team. I was proud of how our guys battled all night long, in particular how our undersized guys battled with their big guys inside.
