Charlotte, N.C. — Two 49ers scored in double-figures led by 24 points from but Charlotte (3-9, C-USA: 0-1) fell 68-50 to WKU (8-6, C-USA: 1-0) in their Conference USA opener in Halton Arena.
"Western Kentucky is a very good team and right now we are definitely shorthanded, but I think we are doing the best with what we have right now," Charlotte coach said. "I couldn't have asked for more out of and his 24 points and I felt like Drayvon (Mangum) found the basket a couple times in the game as well, but we have got to get more production from other guys.
