DAVIDSON, N.C. – The 2020-21 season debut for Charlotte volleyball was worth the wait as the Niners swept crosstown rival Davidson (25-22, 25-18, 25-20) on Sunday afternoon. Charlotte (1-0) picks up their seventh-straight season-opening victory, second over Davidson (1-1) during the streak.
"Wow, that was a moment worth waiting for," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "Today's team performance was an incredible display of patience, execution and togetherness. These women worked hard for each other over the past months and it was great to be in this moment together."
